Easter Island is a pretty isolated and admired island. This island is situated in the south-east side of Pacific Ocean. It is recognized for its huge stone statues which are the moai. These stone statues are built between the 1000 and 1700 years. This period is mostly towards the previous part of that assortment. There are around eight hundred and eighty seven statues. It is believed that earlier there were around ten islanders for each statue. This is said for a population of around ten thousand or so on the island.

The total area of the island is sixty three square miles. This island is furthermore counted amongst the youngest populated provinces on earth. It is said that the primary and sole people who have ever survived on this island be since a personal assembly of Polynesians.

They used to live there until one critical day in the year 1722 whilst on Easter Sunday, Jacob Roggeveen, the Dutch commander, was throne as the foremost European to find the island. It is there the name given as Easter Island.

This island is situation off the coast of Chile. This island has observed the only massive volcano rising over ten thousand feet right from the floor of the Pacific Ocean.
